Phoenix Raceway is not directly connected to regular public transport, which is why most fans choose to drive, use rideshare apps, or stay at nearby campgrounds. Even so, there are a few practical alternatives if you’d rather avoid using your own car all the way to the circuit.
During NASCAR race weekends, shuttle buses typically run between selected parking areas, campgrounds, and entrances to the Speedway. Services usually start several hours before the green flag and continue after the race until spectators have left the venue. While brief queues can form immediately after the chequered flag, operations generally run smoothly once boarding begins.
In many seasons, free shuttle buses operate from multiple pickup points around the Raceway, making access easier for fans staying nearby. However, for the upcoming season, this service has not yet been officially confirmed. If available, shuttles are a convenient option for fans who prefer not to drive or handle parking on race day.
Bus
Long-distance operators such as Greyhound and FlixBus serve downtown Phoenix, located roughly 20 minutes by car from the Raceway. From the bus terminal, fans can continue by taxi, Uber/Lyft, or rental car. The nearest local bus stop to the track area is Civic Center Dr (served by Line 3 or Line 28), but from there, a taxi or rideshare is still required to reach the Speedway.
Train
Phoenix does not currently have direct Amtrak rail service, as the route through the city was discontinued. The closest Amtrak station is in Maricopa, around 35 miles south of Phoenix. From Maricopa, travellers can use Amtrak Thruway buses to reach downtown Phoenix, then continue to the Raceway by taxi, rideshare, or rental car.
